Oil change is under 25 bucks. The oil is one of the first thing a buyer checks. Unless the oil is fairly new, change the oil.

If so what are your buy here pay here terms on a car that you bought from auction for 7k? Do you still use Floor plan? Also what made you switch from buying under 2500 cars to 7k cars? Also how do buy here pay on a 7k car that is on a floor plan if customer only has 3k to put down?.... Also do you suggest starting out with buying 2500 cars or go straight to 7k cars....I have very Limited funds to operate

I opened a floor plan when I opened, used it a few times and it’s a waste of money imo. I kept it open just incase I had another dealer that had a bunch of cars they were selling for a good deal or something like that. The best thing to do imo is to start small using cash there are places all over that you can rent a small office and handful of parking spaces to start a used car lot legally. It’s really not expensive to do and you can do it on the side working a full time job. Learn the business, start making friends with people in the business, start with the goal of 1 car minimum a month then 2 and don’t touch any of the money just keep it in the business. Then when you really start to understand everything, ur selling cars good, have money stacked up then maybe it’s time to get a better location. But you gotta get a location that makes sense you don’t want one that has room for 100 cars when ur only gonna have 15 that looks bad to people driving by. Ideally you wanna be able to buy all the cars cash for ur new lot but you also don’t wanna not have any cash reserves. You also gotta take some chances in business but buying all 15 cars on credit for ur new lot is just setting you up for failure specially if you don’t know what ur doing. Say each of the 15 cars cost 250 a month like that’s what you are loosing by using credit that’s $3750 a month wasted bare minimum. There are up sides too I know but better off starting small, building cash and learning the business.

Was looking into buying a car from IAA and was wondering whether I could bid without a dealers license or if I needed one, they are listed as public auctions but I don't know for sure if I can actually bid, also, what brokers would you recommend because the ones I have looked at cost hundreds.
